In my tireless search for new herbs to support sexual health, I found another that presumably could help erections: the medicinal herb Cistanche tubulosa, which contains the chemical echinacoside. This herb has been shown in a study (CLICK HERE) to help blood vessels relax, a key aspect of sexual health.

The study reported that echinacoside enhanced the cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) production. This is a key finding, as cGMP is the chemical messenger in the body the supports erections, and is the chemical that is supported by Viagra. However, Viagra only blocks the enzyme that degrades cGMP; this herb actually enhances its production.

Cistanche tubulosa is sold by some Chinese herb sites (in China). I have never tried it and I can’t recommend buying it from China, but that’s your choice.
